vafc2 tuning! any pointers!?
just put a vafc 2 on my 2000 civic.. d16y8, i started playing with the vtech function now the car is pisssed off and wants to try and go fast its cool!
i havent really messed around with the fuel correction on any other areas of the rpm range except for when the vtech kicks in, mostly because i dont know what im doing, just looking for some theory on tuning it tips pointers any suggestions?!
thanks!

dyno= money.. all my money is tied up in a turbo right now for the same car, its just about need a down pipe, hose clamps , plugs wires, stupid little stuff.. ill go when its all on, just looking to spice things up for now.
If you lowered your vtec point, without a cam or putting on the dyno, you most likely lost power. Simple as that. Put it back to stock, and don't **** with it until you can get it on the dyno.
when i take it there will they tune it in for me or will i have to doit? what all can i expect when i take it to get the test done... stock cam... internal mods are next summers project
you can expect the same amount of power unless its tuned
you might get a tiny bit more power by changing the a/f ratio...but unless you have a cam youre not gaining anything from putting the vtec (no damn H at the end) point any lower

if i lower the VTEC(<-- sorry) and throw more fuel in the mix at that point it wont gain any thing?.. i thought thats kinda what they did at a dyno... helped you get the most you can out of your engine via tuning the A/F.. im a retard when it comes to air fuel anything, thats why i was woundering if they will tune that for me because of the turbo, i dont want to lean out the egine and burn it up

if you really wanna mess around with it, set it @ 500 rpm below redline, shift @ redline and take note when you "feel" vtec turning on, then lower it 100 rpm and repeat the first step, and repeat until you stop "feeling" vtec turn on... that's ideally where you want it, the whole point of vtec is to have a smooth curve all the way to shift, that way all power is used. turn it on too early, and not only will you waste gas and lose power, but hurt your engine... that should satisfy you enough until you get a dyno.
