Ride is really bouncy
My ride is extremely bouncy for some reason. I have a 98 Ek coupe. Im riding on Skunk2s and DA Integra shocks. My springs rates for skunks are 500 front 400 back. Do you guys think its bouncy because of the shocks or the springs?
the spring rates only make the car stiffer not bouncy right? So it has to be the shocks?? Right now it is unbearable. Hit a bump on a freeway and my head hits the top hella hard. also does it have anything to do with placment of springs?? arent the heavy springs rates in front?

your car also weighs more tho
im thinking the springs, stiffer springs would make it more harsh i would think

i had stiff springs before , but if u install it wrong, it will make ur car bouncy like crazy. i think u might of put the 500 rear and the 400 front which can make the car bouncy.

The shocks control the motion of the spring. If there was no shock, the spring would theoretically compress/decompress forever. So if the car's bouncing around the street then that means the shocks aren't controlling the springs properly. Upgrade the shocks to get rid of the bounce.
I have skunk 2 springs as well. they are for a 3inch drop on my 99-00 civic. Anyways my ride is crazy bouncy. I have kyb 4 way adjustables and i think they are just a bad springs. Im upgrading to ground control coilover. I recommend you do the same.

Shocks. If the vehicle is bouncy as in when you go over uneven or "wave" type surface your car bounces up and down continously, it's your shocks. If you have high spring rates and it feels bouncy as in "stiff" bounce, then it's your high spring rates.
Dude, you need to cut the bumpstops in half to allow a bit more suspension travel. The reason why this guy's car is bouncing like a fat chick in a cucumber patch is because of the little suspension travel. rasie your car to about 2in and cut your bumpstops in half and see what happens.
its not a stiff bounce, its like a rough bounce, feels likes ur riding on just springs and no shocks because the car bounces like a basketball sometimes so i think its the shocks.. by the way i'm 'weakEK' friend. new on honda-tech
had same problem with my crx i had stock struts and arospeed coilovers and i got tokico gas struts and my ride is a little stiff but not bouncy at all. i got mine off ebay new for $200 all four. get those if u get the new struts i highly recomend them. but it is the struts they r bad.

yeap. its either un-trimmed bumpstops andd/or blown shocks. with skunk coils, i would go with atleast AGX's, illuminas or koni yellow if you have the $$. tockico blues, gr-2's wont be stiff enough

Skunk2 coilovers are bouncy. shoulda asked around before you bought them. every car i've seen w/ them bounce down the road like crazy. also why'd you go w/ teg shocks? if you wanted stock shocks what was wrong w/ your civic ones? i had tokico blues w/ nuespeed springs and i loved the ride.
