Removal of pedal assembly
I am trying to remove the whole pedal assembly in a 88' CRX si. Can I do it with out removing the steering column? I have gotten 3 bolts off and they were not easy. Any one got any tips. I can't find the preocedure in my helms or Haynes. Help
You have to drop the sterring column, not remove it, its only 4 bolts holding it up. It was a pain in the ***, Im scared to buy another heavy duty clutch, i had a stage 1 and it snapped the pedel assembly.
We took the pedal assembly out of my car today. Take the dash out it makes it a lot easier. You need to undo 2 nuts and 1 bolt on the steering column to drop it down and than you can pull out all the pedals.
I just did this...drop the steering column down and there is one bold on the top that is covered by a vent duct that needs to be pulled out of place. I tried to do it while keeping the steering column in and its just not worth it. It's 5 nuts and that one bolt on the top.
