Yaaaa ...

I started doing some routine matinence and wanted to replace the distributor cap and rotor. The distributor cap I got from my local Acura dealership is not the same as the B18C JDM OEM one on the motor.

1. Is there a difference between the UDSM cap and JDM cap? If so where can I get a JDM cap?

2. How the heck do you get the rotor off? There is some sort of plastic gaurd in the way.

As far as I know it shouldn't be different...

Here's how to change the cap and rotor... There is a screw in the rotor you need to remove.

mmmm website doesn't work dude. but thanks for your efforts. i didnt think there was a difference or at least assumed there wouldn't be a difference but am not sure. im hoping the girl just gave me the wrong part.

 

There is no difference! They must of gave you the wrong cap.

 

It should be the same exact part.

ive been trying to figure out which cap i need for my jdm itr. i went to the dealer and orderd an itr cap but didnt fit. i spoke with sly over at distributor king and he says there are 3 different versions of the itr cap. the distributor i have is marked td-81U ive confirmed with distributor king that it is a type r distributor and the dealer cap does not fit.

so i believe they are differences. anyone know which cap is for the TD-81U?
