Starting swap today
Just picked up my ITR engine last night. I had to go get it because the shipping yard said it would be another week til a truck with a liftgate could get out to drop it off. Engine looks great! I bought it from TotalJDM. Thanks alot Andre through the whole process. I think I have all the parts needed. I guess I will find out soon enough. It should be done and running tomorrow. The engine is going in a 97 civic hatch. Hopefully I can borrow a friend's digital camera to take pics. I'll keep it updated.

Well, it appears that the swap isn't going to happen til next weekend. I ran into a couple of problems that need to be fixed first. The two major problems are: 1. Clutch from clutchcity didn't arrive yet. I ordered it a week ago and thought i would have it by now. 2. Crank pulley is busted. There is a little piece knocked off of it. I am going to make it into a n2 pulley by cutting off the power steering ring on it. A lathe will be used and it will be done by a mechanic, so don't flame me for this. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than the $170 ITR one.
Anyway, gonna take tranny off tomorrow and go have flywheel resurfaced. I can't wait til next weekend!

No, I haven't had a chance to take pictures of it yet. The engine was very clean. Also, no sensors were broke. The only thing wrong with it was the pulleys. The swap won't actually happen til next weekend. I spent today taking off the tranny (need to resurface flywheel and add Exedy clutch), checking the timing belt, and stripping the wire harness off of it. I will take pictures when it is about to be swapped.
Hey Brian,
Happy to see you finally received the engine. It was weird that they would not deliver it immediately. As for the pulley, any chance it might of been caused by shipping?
Let me know,

Yeah, I think it was damaged in shipping. Either from japan to canada, or from canada to the US. Damn that is sad. My engine has been further around the world than I have been. Anyway, I'm not worried about it.
Andre, Cliff also wanted to know if you can crate his engine when it comes in. He doesn't want the same thing to happen as before. I'm very pleased with my engine cosmetically, I haven't had a chance to get it in and started yet. We'll get to put it in this upcoming weekend, hopefully.

Brian,
I will make a note in his order to have it crated. We plan to do this with all our engines soon too. I'm so mad that the person really butchered his last engine, it was VERY clean!
