Getting engine ready for storage?
I have an engine i am going to swap in but need to store it while im saving money for the swap parts. I already drained all the fluids, is there anything else I should do? I was just going to leave it in my shed until I had the cash to swap it in...

Re: Getting engine ready for storage? (turbotime)
mine sat in the garage for about a month before it was put in....started right up. besides, if you brought it from a company, you don't really kno how long it sat in their warehouse before you brought it

well its alreasdy been sitting for a few months, and i was getting ready to put it in the shed for a few more months while i purchase swap parts. Should I spray the inside of the head with wd40 or something so it doesnt rust?

maybe pour some oil in the cylinders, just a little and crank by hand to keep oil in cylinders to prevent rust. also cap off all the holes on the motor and I would cover it with a giant sheet or something
