Default Melted Plugs=75 Shot=Stock Timing-LOOK!

I know I made a big mistake on doing this but I want to share with all, so you nitrous noobs wont do this. I currently run:

Run #1 (Stock w/ bolt-ons) Max Power 117.8 Max Torque 99.6
Run #2 (NX 55 Wet Shot) Max Power 158.3 Max Torque 162.7

Below are my mods.

Z6 w/ stock internals
stock timing
NX 55 Wet shot
AEM short ram
pulleys
no A/C
apexi N1 catback
straight pipe

I since upgraded to a 75 shot and left my timing stock because my car was bogging to much at low rpm's, big mistake, the first time I sprayed I noticed a strange smell and shut it down the second time while spraying in third the car hesitated three times, I knew something was wrong, pulled the plugs the next day and damn. The plugs were NGK ZFR6F-11 (1 step colder), I guess they were not cold enough for my timing as so to say. I since have upgraded to NGK BKR7E (2 steps colder) and backed my timing off 4 degrees it has been running fine ever since. When the NX manual says retard your timing retard it, I think I am very lucky, I didnt melt a piston or something. Any comments or suggestions. Thanks.
