Default Different Del Sol engines...

Hey, I'm new to the Del Sol forums (I have a Lude) but I have a question for you Del Sol owners.

I was reading carreview.com's description of the Del Sol and it said this: "The Del Sol is has 3 engine options; Two VTEC model with 127 hp and the other with 160 hp, and the third engine being a non-VTEC, 1.6 liter with 106 hp. ABS is optional. Other options include a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission."

There's a VTEC Del Sol on our lot and I was wondering how to tell which VTEC engine it has? Also, what's an average 1/4 run with each of these engines? Thanks for the help.

Pop the hood. If the top of the engine says "DOHC VTEC" then you're in luck and have found the B16 equipped Del Sol. If not, then you have found a D16 equipped Del Sol.
