Modifying Signal lights question
can anybody tell me how to modify the turn signal lights so they stay on like head lights? i've seen it on many EF hatches and i wanna do it to my hatch as well. Can anybody tell me how to do the front bumper signal lights and the tail signal lights too?
where can i find wire connectors, what do i do to make all that happen? i've had my hatch for a long time, but im slowly learning about them little by little..can u give me more detailed instruction on how to perform that task?
little help here

I dont understand that... Where do I get a power wire from that would turn the bumper lamp on when my running lights come on, yet, still use the bumper lamp as a turn signal??
if you lay on your seat with feet on head rest and head on the floor mat look up at the fuse box and on the back the top plug has a red/black wire splice from that wire to a post or male type plug that gets power when the key is in the on position in the front of the fuse box you will need a test light to do this and about 12 inches of wire note: this is not the proper way to do this but it will work I did it to mine and have had no problems
hey sorry so long for reply only 5 messages every 24 hr lol any way I miss understood your question at first sorry for the wrong info what you will have to do and I have never done this so it may or may not work but there is no reason for it not to I can think of off hand, your bumper lights are 1156 bulbs and sockets a singl pin you will have to take out the 1156 socket and replace it with a 1157 bulb and socket 2 pins 1 for marker light and one for signal and then wire the new second pin to the fender marker light area and wire it to the light that is the one that signals and the remaining wire go to the exsisting marker wire I hope this helps you

But the plastic cover that is over the lights aren't made for continuous operation. Over time it will melt / discolor / not-pretty anymore. If you wan't it to run forever, get a glass cover.

^I think tht would be the "correct" way to do it (why didnt I think of that)
There is actually many ways to do it. Trial and error may even work...lol. I was thinking about doing this but never got around to it yet...

and to fix the hot bulb problem only use them when you are driving around so they don't over heat or you can see if they make a led belb for the 1157 socket I think they might if not try it out if they melt new ones are cheap enough
I have done this to my ED, my friends, and my dads.
Go to the junkyard and off a honda cut out the brake light socket, dual ellement socket.
the socket you have in the bumper light is a single element swap the sockets and there you have it. works both as a turn signal and it stays on. you will have one ground the turn signal powre and a constant power when the headlights are turned on. any questions just pm.
