Default code 9 and code ?

picked up a 91 gs teg for 150$ motor looks good, anyways I got it running for the first time over the weekend and got 2 codes

1. code 9, that means I need a new dist due to a bad sensor?

2. I'm not sure on this code four slow flashes then three fast flashes, is that code 43???

I really am new to the engine swap and working on my own cars so any help from any experinced h-techers would be greatly appreciated!!!

Most probably the throttle postition sensor. It sits on your throttle body and signals the ecu when your throttle moves. Grab a voltmeter, turn your ignition to on, and check to see if power is reaching the sensor.

if so, next, have a buddy press on the gas (to move the pedal), tap into the signal wire from the tps and see if voltage goes up as the throttle opens (pedal depresses further). I don't recall the exact specs, but voltage should go up...
