OK I have a 1990 CRX Si with a JDM B16a, I dont have aftermarket cams, and when it idles it seems to loop from around 1k then up to 2k...and is even does this after its warm...When the car is running I hear a weird noise from under the distributor cap....what could all this mean? Please help me out guys...

 

What type of noise ? Are you positive its coming from inside the distributor cap ? Take the cap off and have a look, the idle problem sounds like your fast idle air control valve which is located right under the throttle body, are you sure your not hearing that ?
