it is a 1.5, the block is d15, the 15 is 1.5L, d16 is 1.6L

I'd refer to them as EW instead of D-series seeing they really don't share any parts with the d-series of today.

Thanks, I was just wondering what I could do with the engine I just got with my free car. The engine has a blown head gasket from being overheated. When I get a chance, I'll post pics of the work I have ahead of me

if the head gasket blew from overheating then the head is probably warped also.
