Default Any Ideas? (Car Not Starting)

My 90 Si started having a starting problem yesterday. I went to start the car and it started, but died a few seconds later. I tried starting it a couple more times with the same results. On the last try it did not start, it would crank but it would not fire. I waited a while and gave it another try, this time it started right up. I drove it throughout the rest of the day and it ran fine. Fast forward to this morning. I drove the car to and from work with no issues at all. This afternoon I went to move the car to the other side of the driveway. The car would not start, it would crank but it would not fire up. I checked for error codes, but there were not any. I waited about 10 minutes and tried again, this time it fired up. After I moved the car I went out 10 minutes later to see if it would start again, this time it started but shut off a few seconds later, like it did the previous day. I have searched quite a bit today, but I havent found anyone with the same symptoms. Any ideas on where I should start to look first?
Thanks

Sounds like the main relay.

Next time it's giving issues, Turn the key to ON (not start)
For the first 3 seconds you should heare the gas pump whirrr and then stop.

If you don't here that, the go get a new main relay or open yours up and resolder all the connections inside.

usually the main relay will not start once it's died out until it cools, but it is a possibility. if you know anyone with an ed/ef then see if you can borrow their main relay. do you hear the fuel pump whirr when you turn the key to on? my car acted similar when my fuel pump went out.

Sounds like the Main Relay Troll to me. Just replaced mine the other day cause of the same ****.

Ha... or you can go the ghetto way, and pull out your coin tray, then thump it while cranking it over when it acts up. Should fire up then LoL

Good Luck

Thanks for the quick replys guys. I took the main relay out and looked at it. It looked like it may have very fine cracks in the solder. I resoldered it all and it looked like new again. I reinstalled it and fired the car up. The car ran very rough right after i initially started it, almost like it wanted to quit. Then within a few seconds every thing smoothed out and i took it for a drive and it ran great. I have the feeling that the main relay wasnt the issue since it started so rough. I'm not sure what to do next. I think I may take the rear seat out so I can easily tell if can I hear the fuel pump. I'm also going to replace the fuel filter as it looks old.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks Again!
Matt
