Get an Autolock! Alarms suck!
My GSR had the JDM front end, top the line complete stereo system, volks, and an alarm. On 6/29 it got jacked from work and it probaly only took them less than 30 min to get in. They crooks bypassed the alarm system somehow, and my lowjack didn't even work. The cops found my car stripped in downtown 7 hours later L.A sitting on dounts. All my **** is gone now. My best advice is to get an autolock.
how stripped is stripped? they found it in 7 hours thats real good
i know it sucks..but atleast your gonna get it back (hopefully)

Well they stripped the whole JDM front end, the rear tail lights, stole my volks, and sound system. So it was partially stripped. 7 Gz right there. They found it because it was sitting in the middle of street. Do you think i should sell it?

if the engines there it's not stripped. Sucks about your car man but I'd by it back if it's only missing a front end wheels and some lights.
BTW autolock can be broken however the more the better to slow them down.

Yo, Is this Tony the Gangsta? My friends Type R got stolen with an auto lock on it. Its pretty easy to get through.
What kind of an alarm were you running? I have an older Alpine in mine but it has a backup battery thats hidden as well as backup horn thats also hidden.
Too many people don't put money where it really matters (security), it just sucks that you did and your car got stolen.

I had an Avital Phoenix alarm. Usually from inside the building were i work we can hear a car alarm if it goes off. I didn't hear any thing and its really loud. I don't even know how they got into my car because the door handles looked untouched.
pretty much every form of theft deterant will be defeated, maybe even a wheel boot. just layer as much as possible.
tony, you can "wiggle" the autolock, and it will start skipping. I just have an alarm the club and good insurance. Helps that my car is bone stock from the outside as well (for now).
sorry for your loss
I am starting to read honda-tech again and thefts are still prevalent.
just fyi, autolock helps but you still need something like a boomerang next time. if your car moves without the boomerang, it will call your cell phone.
best of luck and always layer your security.

read this thread for more info about the autolock and an alternative:

as for the autolock, I've had a rex stolen with it on, and it wasn't towed cause cameras saw the rex leaving.
Layers is the best along with the security device mentioned in the above link.

sorrie to hear about the theft bro. Same thing happened to my bro integobsession and his got totally stripped. No motor, no tranny, no radiator, no jdm front, no 17" c2's, no full stereo, no interior. Nothing. just the damn dash board and the abs in the engine bay.
Theft sucks... someone broke into my car bout a week ago and jacked my system too, so i know where you're comin from. But they already have **** to break autolocks too.
As bitter & pessimistic this sounds, everything you add to your car as far as alarms and deterrents are more for your own peace of mind than anything else. Because we all know that if a really talented theif wants to take our cars, they will get it. But even so... who can put a price on peace of mind huh?

sucks to hear man. i'm paranoid about my gs. quick question, did you do the hood release cable relocation and a fuel cutoff switch?
i'm not sure if you know but integras have the hood cable running through the fender well, so all crooks have to do is rip out the fender lining, pull the cable really hard and they've opened your engine. now they can cut your alarm and whatever else you have protecting your car electronically. if you're keeping your integra and for all those out there with integras, please do the hood release cable relocation at least. this way they have to actually break into your car which will set the alarm off and that's a risk a lot of crooks may not want to take.
a hoodlock won't do much, it's not too hard to get past.

wouldn't the hood lock do the same thing as relocating the hood release cable, which is stop the hood release cable from releasing your hood? Oh, unless your speaking of those hood locks that are external through the hood surface. The hood lock I'm talking about is a cable with a locking mechanism that is bolted to the radiator support and latches through the stock hood release hook, and then it locks from the inside of the car. Like the chapman hood lock, there is also a hood lock made by hornet that has a simple starter kill switch, but goes through to the inside of the car. They would have to break in and break that lock(or the cable) to get the hood open. I've had it, and recommend it since even when you release the hood from the stock location inside the car, it still won't open unless you unlock it separately.
