i have a 98 h22 and i would like to know how much boost the stock rods can hold up to.

 

your ringlands will blow before the rods. i wouldn't go over 8 street and ~10 for the track

 

i have forged pistons, my ringlands already went when i ran 10 psi. stock motor full interior and ran 12.8@112

 

is your motor sleeved? if no i suggest u do that unless u wanna toss those pistons in the trash.

i dont think anyone really knows. i've been on this board for a long time and have yet to see anyone with stock prelude rods break one. people either run stock block and boost low, then get a full rebuild with aftermarket rods for higher boost. just outta curiosity why didn't u just buy some eagles for like 300?

 

i have eagle rods, its a long story, spun a rod out of shape and all that cool stuff, now i have a new motor im building and i have been running 10 psi of boost stock and i did a leak down and cylinder #4 is at 80% and the rest are under 30%. so instead of getting this eagle rod fixed i was wondering about the stock rod cuz i dont plan on going past 15 maybe 18 psi, highly doubt the 18 though.
