Default Help, can't seperate tranny and engine.

I am trying to do a D15B VTEC swap because my old engine just gone to hell. I got the engine and tranny out but I can't seperate the tranny from the engine even though I got all the bolts bolting the tranny to the engine. Is there a special screw I have to remove to get the tranny off of the engine?? Please help me!

Do you need to remove all the sensors and starter? Please help, I am very frustrated. Factory service manual is not really helping.

theres no hidden bolts, nor do you have to take of sensors, just the obvious bolts. it's has probably siezed together. pry it open.

You really do need to remove the starter. I once had the same problem and as soon as I pulled the starter, it came right off.

On a 6th gen, you do NOT need to fully remove the starter - just the lower bolt will get the job done. The upper bolt only threads through the starter and into the tranny itself, not the block. And since you can swap a 6th gen tranny into a 5th gen chassis, I'm assuming the same is true for the 5th gen trannies.

Lower starter bolt, there are 4 tranny housing bolts, and then there are 3 for the rear mount bracket (if its still in the car)
