Default Toda B16 stroker kit

I am thinking of doing the toda stroker kit for my B16. I was wondering if anyone out there has used this or heard of it and what type of machining is necessary on my block besides boring it over to the pistons i choose. That and if if possible has anyone put any numbers up with this similar setup

Why not contact TECH43 Racing about their B16 stroker kit that allows you to use a stock LS crank and rods. It will end up being a hell of a lot cheaper and at least as effective.

the tech 43 kit is like 545 or something and it includes rings
the thing is that i think you have to sleeve your block to 85mm,
i read somewhere that they have released or thought of releasing a 81.5mm setup so you do not have to sleeve to run them

I'd listen to Kendall, he's been here a long time and it sounds like he really knows what he is talking about. Besides, Toda stuff, while very good, is WAY over priced. For most stuff anyway. Just my 2 cents.

Maybe I'm missing the point, but for that price, why not just buy a B18 block and save yourself a world of work/trouble?

I was thinking the same thing. Not to mention in order to keep the rod angle of the LS that wrist pin would have to be pushed way up into the oil control ring throwing off your centerline. I would perfer just using a gs-r or ls block for the added stroke but thats just me. But hey if you want a 2+ liter b16 then that looks like your best bet and go for it.

Actually it increases wear. But if you are building a high performance engine then the wear factor is not a big deal at all.

Is there a big difference in the LS and B16 blocks, aside from the rotating assembly?

If you want people to think its only a B16 but its not...then get the tech43 stoker kit... if you use the Toda stroker kit,it uses deckplate and its visible and for honda enthusiasts like most of us here will know you have change your stroke. with tech43 stroker kit,you can never tell what stroke your b16 is..

I believe it decreses oil flow around the piston when the wrist pin is moved up into the oil control ring.
