Default Crazy Humming!!!

Alright...after carefully searching, and reading other people's humming problems, i figured mine was unique enough to post up. My front passenger side tire hums like crazy and hums even more irratic when i pull the wheel right. Now i know this can be a simple tire balancing and aligning of the car should fix that and taking into consideration my car is lowered i should've known it were to be an alignment and adjustment of my camber kit.

Here's the question, other than that problem, i have a little knocking sound coming from my engine bay pretty close to the firewall or so i assume. This seems to happen almost everytime i push on the throttle, at first i thought it could be my intake, so i took off the intake and drove around, the sound did not go away, i've heard it could be the motor mounts, but should it matter even when i'm not in high speeds?

Here's the actual question, does anybody think the humming has anything to do with the noise? I know its a silly question, but i thought it was worth asking. after changing my axle, the knocking/clicking kept at it, so now i'm stumped and am going to take it to a shop sometime this week. TIA

The humming could be a wheel bearing. I had one that sounded like a knobby mud tire.

But the knocking does sound like a motor mount. Whenever you step on the gas, the engine wants to rock back towards the firewall. Before you start the car, set the handbrake. Grab the valve cover & push it towards the firewall. Get it rocking back & forth & listen for the noise. The hardest thing about that stuff is finding the exact location of the noise.

With a loose motor mount, your engine/tranny isn't held in the proper position. The CV joint on that side might be making noise if the axle's compressed beyond it's range?

Mine does the humming sound...sounds like I have micky thompson super swampers on....but it only does it on the right wheel and turning the wheel to the right.

Thats what it sounds like to me.

Anyone have any info on how hard it is to replace (sorry for the thread jack)

Loosen the big axle nut.

Take off the wheel, caliper, & rotor.

Separate the ball joints at upper & lower control arms & tie rod.

Take the steering knuckle out of the car.

If you don't have a press, carry the knuckle to a shop to have them press the hub & bearing apart & put in the new bearing.

If i were to change the bearings, would that require me to get an alignment due to that change? I dont want to align my car, then change bearings only to need to align it again. thanks again guys.
