Remove butterfly plate in GSR intake manifold?
I am thinking about removing the butterfly plate that changes which runner the air travels through. If I removed it I would have twice the airflow since the car would be using both runners all the time. I think that right now it is being very restrictive to my engine because my turbo spools and vtec hits 2000rpm before that plate shifts runners. Have any of heard of anyone doing this and have any information?
Yep. You will see some top end gains with low-midrange losses. Not worth it overall. Youre better off getting a JG or similar manifold if you feel it is a restriction.
