What kind of gains can one expect with a MSD 6AL ignition with SS coil and distributor? I'm getting a new one for $50. Not bad at all, but will it actually give me any performance or just improve gas mileage (which isn't bad either) Thanks in advance!

HP gains will be negligable. You'll notice better MPG before you'll notice power (if there's any to be gained by just the box alone). Throttle response might be improved a little. What you will be able to do is run more boost without changing the sparkplug gap -- keep those ripe hydrocarbon chains exposed to the spark instead of shrouding it with the ground strap on the plug. So while the MSD ignition probably won't gain you any noticeable power by itself, it will serve as a stepping stone to achieve more reliable power with future mods.

In my personal opinion.. I wouldn't do it for a daily driven, naturally aspirated street car. Maybe for a car that only gets driven a few times a week, fine.

I have stock ignition on my Integra, but on my B20 CX I have a Digital 6 box for it.

For utmost reliability, I'd stick w/ OE ignition. MSD eats up caps and rotors more often than a stock ignition system will.

I have an MSD digital 6 in my ITR. Not really needed unless you're gonna be doing some serious FI or even a drastic all motor route. Persoanlly, I think its a wastesince I gave up on the original Spec C plan for the car, but hey its already on the car so unless I ever really see the need to take it off, it may as well stay on.
