J1 Tranny??

Default J1 Tranny??

I did several searches any couldnt find any info on this tranny, ANyone know anything about it?

It is a cable JDM B-series tranny.

this tranny came out of the xsi integra over in japan. it's gearing is (I think) the shortest cable b series one out there. It's a blast when you want to, er...blast, but lots of shifting if you don't wanna wring it out.

5th gear is not highway friendly either, ls 5th gear swap fixes that....search for that

I believe its the same gearing as the jdm S1. yep, very close gearing. 4.4 final I think.

That answered my question perfectly thanks guys
Thats the tranny i have , and the engine code starts with 12..

So this tranny is best for racing? Thats my understanding, I drove my car on the highway and it felt like it was in high rpms in 5th gear going about 125km/h(i dont have a tach so cant exactly tell)

I have forgotten, but when I had one, it was like 4,200 at 70mph
