b16a distributor codes...are they interchangable???

b16a distributor codes...are they interchangable???
i need a new distributor so i called my local auto parts store and they told me that there are two different distributors for my b16a. a <U>td42u </U>and a <U>td44u</U> my question is does it really matter which one i get because the <U>td42u </U>is about 100 bucks cheaper!!! and my thought is that since they are both OBD1 distributors it shouldn't matter, but im not sure can anyone confirm or deny this???? thanks in advance.
