Turbo F22 Help
Well I'm turboin my f22a prelude and the guys in the prelude forum said u guys over here would kno more ab the f22's since they're all h22 vtec freaks. Neway I know my f22 has iron sleeves already and that it has 16 valves like the h22 does so what would make it ne less powerfull than the h22's. Since the only difference is the # of cams. Whoop who cares... other than the fact they have vtec which wouldn't account for that much power difference when turbo I would think. Since it only kicks in at high rpms. So I want a turbo kit that spools up pretty quick and that isn't gonna cost me 3grand. Also a custom turbo kit would be ok I just would like to know what all I'm gonna need. Plan on runnin ab 10 psi. Daily driver. What bov, wastegate, trimsize,n all that stuff do you recommend. any Info appreciated.
ummm well for one thing the higher compression seems to help out with the higher power output. the h22 sleeves are not the same as the f22. not to mention the h22's and f22's have different bores and strokes. cant think of what the sleeves are made of off the top of my head, but i dont believe they are iron. what makes thee h22a bad for boost (in stock form) are the weak ringlands (thats the only thing ive heard atleast). it would help to search before you post something like this too. you HAVE to research all this before you go throwing money away, or try to ask people for their opinions. in the end it gets you know where if you depend on other people to do all the work. you have to realize that your turbo kit isn't going to come with a proper fuel management system either...that alone will cost you a pretty penny. most important part of the turbo setup is being able to manage your afr and timing! if not then you can expect to buy a new engine in the very near future (not to put you fmu guys down). anyways, do some simple research first. for some detailed differences between the f22 and h22 look at this:
