Default Hybrid and Emission testing.

I am in a bind here. Have any experience to share?

I never got my seconday O2 sensor wired right, so if I run an OBD2 ECU I will allways have a check engine light....which should cause me to fail the smog check in my area. I do have an Ex engine wire hareness, which can solve my wiring problem, but I will probably have to pull the engine to swap harnesses! That way I could just run an OBD2 p28 and probably pass with my b16a2 swap.

I can run an OBD1 ecu, and I don't get a light often. Will a scan tool work alright if hooked up? That is one test my car has to pass.

Think I could pass the emission portion of the test with an OBD1 ecu?

Could I use something like a Civic Dx OBD2 ECU to help my car pass????

[edit]Oh yea, I woud have to say swapping in my original engine is not a choice.[/edit]

99 B16a2 USDM.

Reprogrammed OBD1 P28 with hondata stage 3 running it.

Oh, and I am in wisconsin, so I shouldn't have to pass a visual test.

I have a friend that lives in Lacrosse. I want to get my address changed to there, but the DMV still asks to test your vehicle one last time after changing addresses. At least that happened with my friends hot rod.

He just told them it was stuck up north with no engine! I may just do that.

In my part of wisconsin it is pretty strict too. Here, if you don't get your car fixed if it fails, you can't renew your regisration...which means you can't drive your car.

I also know that if you spend $500 to get it fixed, and it doesn't work, you are exempt for a year.

What kind of punishments are there for bribing the emission worker?
