I bought my car with coilovers on it already, i have no idea what the brand is nor do i have any of the documentation on them so i'm hoping someone here can help me. ok, here goes...

Right now my ride is VERY VERY bouncy, even the smallest nic in the road makes it bounce. I love the height my ride is set at right now, but id love a stiffer ride. If i tighten the coilover will it make the ride stiffer without affecting the height? or does changing the position of the ring (what i call it, dunno the name for it) affect both height and stiffness?

it affects the height only, unless the spring is being lowered/raised so much that the spring is being compressed, but I doubt that will happen.
