Default header & cat

Today i jus put a 4-1 header and a resonator type high flow cat on my car. Unfortunately it did not fit properly and there is a leak between the cat and header. The car is sooo LOUD now...sounds like a damn wrx with loud *** pipes. Is this cause of the leak or this is jus how it is when you put a header and cat? I put the silencer in the n1 and it wasnt as loud but its still loud. Should i get like a dynomax muffler or something to quiet it? Can meineke weld the cat and header together? How much do you think it would be? Thanks..

DId you use new gaskets in between the cat and header?that could be a problem new gaskets SHOULD stop it from leaking in those areas, old ones could be worn or cracked from heat and not sufficent for the job now...hope this helps and good luck

actually it jus doesnt fit properly like the holes on the cat doesnt line up with the holes on the header so the bolts are in crooked

damn that is messed up, but i bet a shop could cut off bolt flanges and weld new ones on that line up or just do one flange to line up with the other one whatever...you get the point
Or they could cut off both flanges and stick in a piece of slighty smaller piping to connect the header and cat and weld that to both and there would be no leaks but they would be locked together and a SLIGHT bottle neck effect,if that matters to you, i doubt it would have any performance loses and if would prolly quiet your beast down a little
Goodluck man
