Default Suspension help

I am planing to lower my civic. Can you guys tell me which springs and shocks are good and cheap. Can I keep stock shocks or it is good idea to change that too.
I did search and I found Ground Control are good but is there any others.

Eibach or H&R springs are good IMO. Depending on how many miles you have and what springs you get, you might need new shocks too. I had less than 75k miles on my stock shocks when I put on Eibach pro-kit springs and one shock blew within a week. I now have Koni sports and love them . . .

in suspension good and cheap don't go together.

eibachs are some great springs

you can match them up with KYB's or koni red which are relativly cheap

I am planing to go for Ground Controls and koni red. How would be ride. I got 17" rims on my car and thats only reason I want to lower it. I don't want to sacrifice ride.
Is Koni red better than Tokico Performance shocks.
