Default Shifting Gear

I have hond accord 96 EXR. Today while shifting my gear to reverse, I heard lound noise. I then switched the gear back to parking and then to reverse and it was normal then without any noise. Any suggestions/comments will be appreciated

sounds like the synchros weren't ready for it. were you rolling little bit?

my 96 ex 5-speed does the same if you go from nuetral to reverse sometimes. i always go from either first or second into reverse and dont have any problems.

yeah i talked to the guy at my stealership about teh reverse clank and he said its quite common on 5th gens, so i took his word for it

yeah my 4th gen does it every now and then... i figure its completely normal...hasnt failed on me once... been drivin it daily for almost 3 years... so yeah i wouldnt worry about it.
