Default Lsvtec (noobie question)

are they suppose to burn a little oil like every 2 to 3 weeks? if so, what causes it to burn oil? if not, what is wrong? setup = stock lsvtec, gsr head w/ 2.5 straight mid pipe, cam gears, ctr intake cam, hp racing intake mani, 68mm throttle body w/ p72 stock ecu. What do you guys think of the setup?

no motor is SUPPOSED to burn oil. is it burning or leaking?? it could be due to bad assembly or something. i dont know what exactly your problem is. but how much oil are you adding?? are there obvious leaks?? you need to elaborate a little more.

Every B series I've ever owned burned a little bit of oil. From what I've gathered, a little bit of oil consumption is normal, expecially if you spend any significant amount of time in the higher portion of the power band.

As far as your setup, are you using a stock bottom end?

not much... but just worried that i'll start burning more. I beat on a little but i just stay around 3k - 6k. once in a while i'll rev to 8k. no leaks what so ever.

You need to give a specific amount of how much youre burning. example: 1 quart every 1000 miles.

that doesnt seem like much to me. just check your oil everytime you gas up
