WHERE TO RUN MOTOR VIN#'s?????
im lookin at buying a motor and i just want to make sure its legit.. my guess is the court house but i dont wanna waste a trip up there and wait in line if its not where i need to be goin to check on it.. can anyone help.. if you read this bump it thanks for your time
Those numbers are tied in with the VIN number of the car the motor came in. So i believe going to the dealer and telling them the block number, they would be able to tell you the car.

I wouldn't reccomend that. Maybe your area's a little different, but Houston cops are shady as hell. I wouldn't call the police to see if it's legit, I think the dealer would be a much better option.
