thanks

Do you have any idea how to fix it w/o selling my ***** on the black market to pay a body shop??

whats wrong with wetsanding it? casey just did it to his cf duckbill and it came out fine, he even did it on the paint where there was some roughness, personally i would wetsand the whole thing very gently, then use some 3M rubbing compound, then clean it off, then wax it until you get the desired shinyness..............or if its reallllly bad wetsand it til its very smooth and clean it good and spray it with clear coat, you might wanna get a professional to do it if you dont have the resources, if so go for it

wetsanding must be done with EXTREME caution. Especially with CF, since it is not like a metal surface, if you go through the clear coat and into the fiber, basically, you're F'ed. With a metal surface, you just have to sand it all down, reprime, and repaint. Wetsanding is done to take the gloss off of a surface and make it smooth again. After done, it needs recleared.
He def. needs a closer pic. That hood hardly looks like a real CF hood from that pic. Just looks like a primered metal hood from here.

Cant be completely fixed. Run it faded like that. My hood is somewhat similar. The price of the hood getting clearcoated to your liking might equal the price of a new hood.
