Default If your CF hood is fading/oxidizing LOOK in HERE...

This topic may have been beaten to death, but I can only think of one or two threads that actually finish with a solution (right or wrong). Over the past few days I have search the archives over and over for a solution other than paint matching and clear coating. My research lead me to purchase two 3m Marine Products:

9006 - Cleaner and Wax for Medium to Heavy oxidation
9026 - Wax Finish for Fiberglass/Gelcoats

I used to wax my hood monthly with either mothers or meguirs wax, and my hood has slowly been looking worse and worse. Some people say that normal wax is fine, but the above products seemed to work best for me.

Use the cleaner wax to work out the fading, follow up with the 90026.

My 3 year old hood looks better then it did when I bought it.

Nope, they are marine products so you'll have to hit up your local marine store or boatcenter.
