Default Changing Wastegate Spring....

I already did a search and know how to do it...Thing is... where can I purchase a smaller spring....The spring I have now is for 12psi...I want a 6 or 7 psi spring..What is the spring like?...Can I buy one at like a hardware store?...What do I have to do to get make it boost less?...Thanks

Which gate are you using? Viren [b18bturbo] has Tial springs.

What color is the spring that is already in there? If it doesn't say Tial on it, it's not a Tial.

i've got my .4 bar(red) spring from my tial 35mm if you want to buy it. I just changed it out with a .8 bar spring while I was waiting on my avc-r pressure sensor to get in.

well its a spring, they are a progressive rate, its really not that hard to pull the top off the gate, so just take it off and see what you have. Also, it would be nice ot know what kind of gate you have, IE tial, ebay brand, etc.

my .8 bar is green. the colored side is the side that goes up in the gate.

i thought green was .65 bar or 9.6psi. red is .4 bar (6psi) green is .65 bar (9.6psi) blue is .8 bar (11.4 psi). atleast for the 35mm.

when i put it inside it doesnt seem to sit properly in the pearch at the top... not like the small spring did... is that OK??
