Bad distributor or bad wiring.

 

do u think it could have anything to do with the ecu?

Very possible, borrow one from a friend and find out.

Not to sure what distributor. worked fine before i had some head work done.

 

wires in correct location? timing? plugs?

 

Wires are ok and the timing was just set. Plugs were just changed as well.

 

which ecu do U think would be better for my car p28 or p30?

 

Just borrow either or and find out if thats the problem first. Don't go buy an ecu to find out thats not your problem. Either one will work fine to see if it works.

 

I will try that. But another concern i have is that with p75 I have no V-TEC.

 

hate to butt in but my boy just swapped an h22 in his civic and had the same problem, we replaced all the parts inside the distributor and it worked fine for about a week then nothing at all worked... replaced the eco and dist from a friends and stuff is working like a charm. so i would say my uneducated guess is the ecu. his would always fry the distributor

 

thanks for all of the suggestions guys, ill be sure to try them all. the majority of mechanics that i know have no idea on what to do with swaps.
