Default stock headgasket 24psi???

I blew my cometic because I was using stock head bolts. Now the gasket is on backorder!I now have ARP studs and thought of using a stock gasket until the cometic came in.It is on a zc and the honda gasket is not a multi layer metal gasket like a B-series.Do you think it will hold??????????

No i wouldn't rely on stock if the cometic couldn't hold up too it.

Find another place to buy a cometic one.

Stock owns Cometic...i have seen cometic gaskets blow with 8 or 9 psi...To thick and that makes them weak.

Isin't the ZC gasket a carbon gasket?? If it is then there is no way it will hold 24psi, it probably wouldn't hold 8psi.

He is not running a traditional multi-layer OEM headgasket like what is on the Gsr, etc. The ZC headgasket is not like that. I would do some more research to see what head gaskets may fit OEM style.

T3to4b and believe it or not it held for thirty dyno runs and 3 passes down the track.I did some research and nothing honda/acura will match up physically or by part#, for the headgasket that is.

By the way, the stock gasket held 11psi and lasted for 2 years until I pulled the motor to build it!!!
