Default Converting automatic PR3 ecu to manual...

What are the benifits?... By changing the jumper points will this up the redline to 8200 from 7500, or does it just change the fuel maps? I searched and all I can find is how to convert it but it doesn't explain what it accually does.
TIA

my guess is that it will throw codes if you try to chip it with a "manual" chip. therefore you change the jumpers.

but with stock chip. I can't see it changing the revlimit. or fuel maps. that info is in the chip. "software" not hardware.

possibly it wont run right with manual "hardware" and auto "software" (stock chip)

So what's the whole point of just changing the jumpers on the ecu itself without chiping it?

the auto ecu has a gear selector switch and when in gear, the ecu keeps the motor runing from the TC' load.

that's my understanding, i dont know if this true or not.

No your redline is based on the program that is burned on the chip
