Exhaust leaks after the turbo.. do they effect performance?

Hey, i'm getting my car tuned this friday and want to make sure everything is square.
I'm running the 2.5 inch drag downpipe into a TRD 3 inch exhaust and on the flex pipe that connects them together i have a small exhaust leak...
Does this effect performance.. hp??
I am shooting flames out of the exhaust like a fat guy lighting his farts but i think its mainly cause im running so rich...
Thanks

Well if its before the o2 sensor then it will affect its readings but if its after the o2 then it actually might give you some more power since there is less back pressure but if its a small leak then it probably wont do much for performance..
You might be able to just seal the leak with something..

for me there was a difference...
I had loose bolts on my cat before the secondary o2 sensor and when i tightened it my turbo would spool much faster and my car would have more power...

open DP is a pretty big leak after the turbo...
a lot of times the sound can be deceiving. maybe after the leak was fixed it was much quieter and pretty much the same power so if felt faster compared to how loud it was...or not.
my buddies turbo hatch is slower than mine but much louder so when people ride in them both they are 100% sure his is faster.

hey man i just finished my turbo setup, and if there is an exhaust leak before the turbo you will lose power, if after you'll lose a lil, but mostly you will have that loud annoying exhaust sound
