Default wideband readings with exhaust clamp

just curious. i usually search for the information first but i didn't have time so anyway here goes

i know there's 2 ways to hook up a wideband, i guess you can say permanent like the o2 sensor, or with the exhaust clamp such as the innovate one.

since i know the exhaust clamp is much closer to free/open air, i would guess, if it does, would read slightly leaner. question, if it does read leaner, how much leaner would it read compared to the "normal" in exhaust pipe location?

i dont know anyone with one to try it for myself.

This depends on the condition & if the car is on a dyno or sitting still etc....

Do your self a favor, just put the o2 sensor in the exhaust stream in a bung & call it a day :-)

I usually see around a full point to a .5 difference depending on the conditions/engine setup etc.
