Hi,

My friend and tuner JDM97R who runs Monte Garage Tuning, has just received his goodies.....Skunk 2 Stage 2's !

We have a small problem guys......he is going to use these with Skunk 2 Cam gears, but what about the Cam Keys?

We didn't receive any with these cams.........


Any info please?

They should be able to come out without much fuss. If not, just buy a new pair rather that monkeywrenching on the cam and damaging a perfectly good set of cams.

 

What do you mean by "Cam keys"?????

They should come off of the stock cams and can be swapped (along with the cam seals) over to the new cams.

You may need to pry them out and clean them before installing them in the new cams.

cam keys = a woodruff key of sorts

 

You can re-use your old one.

However, you can obtain new ones at any local Honda or Acura dealership.

use the stock cam keys...they should work fine

 

some of the stock cam gears have the keys machined onto the gears, if your car has those gears, just go and get a cam key from older models that dont have the built in cam keys, like say, dohc preludes, h22, h23, they will all fit.
