those f*@^%g heater hoses under intake manifold again!
thanks honda for making those heater hoses behind the intake manifold so hard to reach. I appreciate the bloodied and bruised the knuckles I know have on my hands. Maybe after the swelling and scabs fall off ill try it again. AND a special thanks to the engineers who put the stock clamps on the hoses facing up so that theres no ordinary way to get to them from the bottom. I think they must be contortionist or they assembled the motor with it out of the car and werent thinking "these parts may have to be replaced some day, lets make it easier for the consumer who wants to do just that" . Im considering taking off the whole intake manifold, it may be easier! Thanks again honda! (sorry for the rant) BTW if anyone knows how to do this any easier, although I already have all different kinds of pliers and pliers with bends on them, let me know.
If you can reach the clamps from underneath, just turn them until they face towards the bottom. And most important tip is to not be a wuss

Word, stop screwing around, if you didnt break any bones you arent doing it right. But I'd get some needle nose on the clips and you can usually turn them around, if not get small vice grips, grip on the hose not the clamp and twist the **** out of it. The hose will break its seal on the nipples and you shoudl be able to slide them off even with the clips on there.
tip : grab some cheapo mech gloves, save your knuckles.

blood and bruises are part of the game there boss. just turn the clamps until they face down then unhook em, or u could just get pissed and cut em and replace the whole hose
lol yea ill admit im a wuss when i let things get the better of me.
But thanks for the advice im going to try to either get the clamps to face down or pull off the whole hose iwth the clamp in place.

omg, exactly. It's SO easy to get to from the top. Just take off the intake tube & throttle body.

its not those two or three little pesky ones that are under the intake and throttle body. Its a pretty fat one just above the oil filter. Never seen it before because the oil filter covers it. I tried again today and got one side off but theres no way im going to get the other side off. At least its not happening from the bottom and my hands are too big to get from the top. Im going to *gasp* pay someone to do it..

or you can buy a tool that mechanics call knuckle savers
it is a contraption that uses a cable and it makes removal of spring type hose clamps a simple feat to remove
