I have a 94 accord with a 94 H22 in it. About 2 weeks ago I noticed that the motor was getting loud as hell when I hit VTEC.

Now when I hit vtec it does not pull anymore. Its almost as if the motor will actually slow down after VTEC enguages. I am throwing 2 codes: Code 12 and Code 21. At first I thought it might have been my V-AFC tuning but I checked it and its the same as it has been for over a year now.

Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking either VTEC solenoid or distributor.... but if anyone else has had this problem before I'd appreciate the advice.

 

Code 12 is this: EGR lift sensor
Code 21 is this: VTEC solenoid valve

I am thinking replace your vtec solenoid and go from there

 

oil levels ok? check that beofre you go buy a solenoid my, $0.02
