Coilover sleeves - 52-53mm ID?
I've got a slightly unusual situation that maybe someone can help me with.
Groovy dampers are coming from our friends at KONI but on the fronts, we've gone with true threaded bodies since they will be IT-legal next season. To run them THIS year however, we need to put threaded sleeves over them so I'm searching for a pair with an inside diameter just greater than 51.8mm. I grew up in the days before coilovers became mainstream so I don't know all of the brands but if anyone has a recommendation, I'd love to hear it before I start randomly burning up the phone lines.
I need perches too (and a wrench) and I'd buy used ones, if that is an option.

just use em this year, and see if some rules nerd checks em on you... oh wait, you are the rules nerd. then in that case, no one else will care.

Kirk,
Just show up at VIR that way, and Catch will build a whole new car before the race.
I've got some on the shelf, not used but I do have them.

We have lots and lots of crew that weekend. This is my one and only shot at acting like a big time pro driver and I'm taking it. I'm just bringing my gear bag and ain't even gonna get my hands dirty.
Hand the sleeves to RJ and Shultz. I'll be busy at the press conference.
And while I know that Kirk has personal issues with such things I say just run 'em. Its highly doubtful anyone would protest it and its not really an advantage. Just my $.02.

You might want to see if Ground Control can build you a set. I'm not sure how much clearance they build into their setup for your VW, but you might be able to get GC to custom-machine them, or at least get a secondhand set and have them machined to fit. My 61mm shock bodies were too big for anything GC could build and still use a 2.5" ID spring, but it would be worth giving them a call. You might also try calling Stock Car Products in Richmond, VA since they carry Carrera sleeve kits and they might be able to measure one and tell you what the dimensions are.
