i don't know how many of you are paying attention but trey gave a deadline of sometime this week as the deadline for filling the expo. there has not been a new paid entrant since the beginning of last week.
i can understand not wanting to loose your money but if everyone sits around and waits to see if it's gonna happen it's not gonna happen, plain and simple. and everyone who has already stepped up is gonna get fucked.
, not to mention all of trey's effort
.
so if you are just sitting around waiting at least speak up and say so. for all we know there could be enough people wanting to go but not signing up for fear of loosing their money to make it happen. if you don't speak up and the expo doesn't happen the blame rests squarely on your shoulders.
I'm going to list everyone who is currently in the situation of waiting for fear of loosing their money. i'm doing this not to single people out but so we have a clear idea of how many more people we can count on. if this number allows us to meet out minimum requirement i see no reason why the expo won't happen.

I admit i am signed up and have not paid yet. With all the recent controversy surrounding the expo lately it is preety shaky throwing up my hard earned $ that i work hard for to go to an expo that "may" not happen.
This being the case i understand trey is under much stress with this and i really appreciate all he is doing to make it happen. I just feel if less is said about how the expo might not happen and how everyone who pays will loose their money if more people dont step forward to fill the gap then in turn more will sign up.
Also trey look forward to a check departing this thurs from me

I think its fawked up that Trey has put all his time and effort into such a fun filled weekend that we may let go down the drain. For those that have registered and not payed, you need to own up and pay up. This should not even be and issue, but for some dumb reason it has become a very frustration one for many.

I sent trey an IM as soon as he announced that it would be open to non-ITR's about signing up and never heard anything back. Kinda sucks that y'all are gonna be scavenging for enough people to make it happen now.
ah well.
ah well.
Trey was probably too busy to respond - just go to http://www.itrca.com and sign up!!!!

Not gonna do that quite yet, i had some questions about what sort of rollover protection would be required by the track for convertibles. Some tracks accept the stock rollover protection, some accept the stock if you have the factory hardtop (which i do), and some require an aftermarket rollbar. If they accept either of the first two I'd be down.

Please pickup the nearest blue phone and educate us."
Thanks - the management
(I'm not sure about the rollover question, but I think the event will be following typical NASA HPDE safety regs)

I thought I had answered this since I know we have another S2k owner asking. My typical driving school rule is Convertiblw without aftermarket rollbar will be required to run street tires. I would be inclined to say the same thing for the expo with the hardtop although this is very likely not to pass the GK test.

I'll be on street tires for sure, and have had prior HDPE experience. Once someone finds something out please let me know. I may still be able to get off work for this.
We are still 24 people short! I have sent an email to all people registered and unpaid and if everyone paid we would be fine. We can't chance that so if by mid week we don't have a pouring in of payments the event is going to have to be cacneled. I will be contacting BeaveRun at that point and begging for a deposit back that I was encouraged to send off with 6 pages of support here

Please encourage others to sign up. Look at the registered list here
http://www.itrca.com/events/expo4regview.php
and if you know someon call them, PM them, IM them, email them, but don't sit back and take for granted this is going to happen without your support.

Opie while I am right there with you on the concerns and enthusiasm I am afraid we are going to have to do more than ask people on Honda-Tech to sign up. The group has obviously changed and 1) Doesn't care to have the Expo as a majority or 2) The people owning Type-R's has changed and we are no loner as hard core as we once thought we were and are a bunch of show cars in the Type-R forum . . .
Everyone should be looking at the registered list and asking the unpaid people why they haven't paid. Not begging here.
