Default Swapped my d16z6 Throttle Body for a B16, Now jumping idol Pls. Help

O.k. I swapped out my throttle body for a b16 hoping it would clear my map sensor code because all 3 map sensor i put on were good but still got a code, anyways so when idle it jumps from like 900 rpm to 1500 rpm. I thought it was because of a bad gasket so I bought a new one. Well when i replaced the gasket it started to idle normal again but once I drove off and stopped it started jumping again. I even put back my d16 tb back and still have them same problem. Anyone experience this before? This code shiet is starting to irratate the hell out of me.(I plan on selling it to my cousin and all this starts to happen). And no my intake mani isn't port matched yet. Although I feel a difference on the top end with the tb.

You have a mis-placed vac hose. The jumping idle is most likely cuase by a vacuum problem. Check all of your hoses and make sure that they're connected. I have had this problem every time I do a motor swap. I just go back and check the hoses and there is always one or two that are either in the wrong place or not attached at all. Check yours out.

No I didn't. How do you recalibrate it? When I put the D16 throttle body back on it did the same thing.

As far as I know everything is in the right place and connected. I'll double check again. I was going to take it to my boys shop and have him look at it for me. Damn all I wanted to do was clear my map sensor code and now I have another issue to deal with. If things keep adding up I might as well get a swap done.

After driving around it's gotten a little better. it'll be jumpy for like 2-3 revs and hold at 1200 rpms for awhile and then again another 2-3 jumpy revs. When first starting the car it's o.k. but after a minute or so of drving is when it'll act up. dman this car!!!

You replaced the MAP sensor, 3 times, with 'known' good ones - ever think your wiring could be the culprit???

in my case yep i reset the ecu...another thing that happens...when i am stopped and press the brake hard the idle will level out. Does this mean vacuum leak?

could you just explain why it does that? Does the brake booster pull additional vaccum when you hit hte brake? Why would it level out?

Just want to understand whats going on. It will aslo level out when i use my power windows...it did this on 3 iacv's i have that are all working correctly so i know the iacv is perfect.

are you getting any check engine codes at all? for some reason I'm thinking you crossed the MAP & TPS sensor plugs which would cause your car to run like crap & idle funny.

The other thing I'm thinking that might be a culprit is the TB gasket. Which TB gasket are you using? SOHC or DOHC? you might wanna take off the B16 TB & match it up to your SOHC TB gakset and see if there's any coverage issues...
