Default Oil leaking from exh. ports? Doesnt burn off though....

I have noticed that oil is, well not really leaking, just seeping around the exh. ports. In the link is another link to pictures that show the problem that I am having. My motor runs strong and has solid compression in all 4 cyl. and doesnt lose any oil. I have not clue as to what is going on. Please, any insight would be great. tia

Rings and valve seals. Probably rings are shot.

Really? How does that explain solid compression across the board? Should I do a leakdown test? How could the rings be shot if the engine has under 25k on it? I dont understand eathier of the things that you threw out there. If the rings were bad, would the motor not perform to its potential and be noticeable? And if it were the valve seals, wouldnt I be burning oil? I am confused, an explantion of those 2 ideas that you threw out there would be great.

thanks

Well it depends how hard you push your engine. If your redline to redline-stop light to stop light, then yeah, your rings could get damaged. Your rings help keep oil down below the pistons and the valve seals keep the oil out of the exhaust port, so if either one of those fail then you'll get oil showing up like yours does. It could also be a header gasket. if you have a leak in it then where ever it blowing out will collect oil and dirt. check your compression again and your gasket. Good luck.
