I think the Euro ITR is just like the JDM, with an OBD1 P72 ECU and OBD2 plug layout.

I have a 97........thats correct!

The JDm b18C-R motors do net more whp and tq on the dyno than the USDM motors. My 97 JDM ITR dynoed stock with just a dc jdm 4-1 header at 175/125

I got 174whp and 123wtq with 16" k1's, dc jdm 4-1 and comptech exhaust.

Well they were 200ps at 8000 which is equivalent to like 196-197hp. Torque was 18.5kg-m at 7500 which is like 133.2 lb-ft. The 98 Spec was the same ps numbers, but torque was 19.0 (136.8) made at 6200 rpms. Mostly due to the 4-1 header and the CTR exhaust cam from what I remember.
I put down 176whp, 126wtrq. w/ my 96 ITR swap+bolt ons.
Given a 15% drivetrain loss, that equals out to 202.4 flywheelHP and 144.9 flywheel trq.....the HP seems correct but the trq. seems high.
Therefore 200hp would be correct for a 96spec JDM ITR.

PS and BHP are not the same. Everyone thinks JDM is better, and for what a mugen headgasket is worth, the compression is slightly better but lets put it like this. 200PS equals approx. 197bhp.
Bottom line.
Compression : JDM 11.1 USDM 10.6
Japanese High grade gas - 98 octane
United States High Grade gas - 93 Octane (depending on location)
Difference in actual HP?? 2hp with .4 Higher compression and 5 octane points higher octane gas. Is it worth the difference? I say NO. Yeah, higher compression is good but if you really wanted power, i'd think most ppl would build the internals up and yes, the bottom end is a bitch, its worth doing if 2 HP is really that important.
Thats just my .02 cents

Could you explain how the SAE HP are calculated ?
I 'm pretty sure it's without all accessories like alternator, power steering, air con compressor.....
The JDM and ISO DIN European HP are calculated with ALL Accessories.
1 HP = 1.0139cv DIN after, you have to apply the SAE or ISO corrected.
