Got my type R back! But need help now....
I dont know if you guys remember but I got into an accident with my type R because of my lack of experience and lack of skill as well as because of my stupidity. Anyway, I finally got it back today after almost 8 months! It feels great! After driving my parents 99 3.2 TL, the steering seems so direct and the lack of body roll is amazing.
But there is a couple of problems:
1. they welded a new rear quarter panel on and i can tell that it is about a mm off of where it should be
2. sometimes when I hit a bump, the trunk open light comes on, which tells me that either the wiring is messed up or the trunk isnt lining up perfectly.
3. the rear type R sticker is on the wrong side!!!!! ( being fixed real soon, not a problem)
Is there anyway I can fix these problems? They did a decent job but I'm **** about this car and I want it to be as perfect as possible. It was not fixed at an Acura body shop ( not my choice) so would taking it to the dealership and asking them to find things not to factory specs be a good idea?

Depending on how bad your crash was, the car may never be the same. Take it to the dealer if youve got a few thousand bucks just lying around.
If it is visibly different than it should be, or if it has these trunk problems, take it back to the body shop. If they say they can't do anything, contact the insurance company and they will authorize additional work. You pay insurance to have it perfect. If they won't authorize work to make it perfect, they have to pay you for a reduction in value due to the accident and imperfect repairs. It is great that you can admit that the accident was your fault, but that doesn't mean you have to accept anything less than a complete repair job.
