Bigger brakes
I need to replace the rotors in my '93 si. Are cross drilled or slotted rotors worth the money? If so, who should I go with? If not should I just swap out with bigger rotors?

i got x and drilled rotors.. i like them and think its worth it.. if u want PM me.. i got a guy in the Oc area.. front and back rotors for last i checked $155 (brembo zinc plated)
If your car doesn't see track time and isn't extremely high performance It's a waste of brake pads. But if I had to pick between the two I would go with slotted, cross drilled tend to crack.

cross drilled and slotted will give you better braking power than oem style brembo's. Why? When your braking hard at high speed your brakes get damn hot and cross drilled and slotted will keep everything cooler. They are worth it. Anyone who says anything other is completely uninformed about cross drilled and or slotted rotors. Of all you ppl say your just daily driving. Then just get stock everything, thats what the damn car was designed for.
And also, cross drilled dont tend to crack. If they were made to be cross drilled rotors in the first place like brembo's then they are fine. Cross drilling oem rotors is a no no, tho.

I wouldn't even bother with Brembo, Autozone/Murray's blanks worked just fine for me.
Try searching the road race forum, I usually trust alot of what those guys say/use when it comes to suspension. There tends to be a better insight on performance per dollar there.

When $20 Autozone rotors works good, why bother. Braking is about surface area and heat capacity. Drilling reduces both. If you like bling, well that's another story.

That's totally the opposite of what I have read. Cross drilled rotors tend to crack more easily, and tend to warp easier than normal rotors.
Also, slotted rotors are kinda pointless now a days! They were important in the day of poor quality brake pads. They were done since the pads used to degas under heavy usage, but modern brake pads don't degas anymore. The only advanage of slots is to prevent glazing of the pad under extreme use.
IMO....cross drilled and/or slotted rotors are for looks only and don't really serve a purpose. Save your money and get Brembo blanks!

Nope, just change the rotor and pads. I just put a set of EBC green stuff pads on my civic and love the grip!
I do have a big brake kit on that car, which was sponsored since it was used as a SEMA show vehicle. If I had to do it over, I would have prefered to keep the brakes stock and just have done the Si/integra rear disk conversion. Only being able to run 17" wheels as a minimum sucks, and not being able to use the spare in case of a flat really sucks. I really don't think the braking performance improved as much as I would expect with big brakes, probably only make use of it if I road raced it at the 24 hours of Le Man!

I have Brembo Blanks with EBC GreenStuff pads. They are great, the only problem I have is that I need to bleed my brakes so that the pedal doesn't go to the floor as much

I have a 94 Civic and upgraded my suspension to GSR. Than I upgraded the brakes on all four corners with Power Slot rotors, AEM (NISSIN) Brake Pads, Earls Steel Braided lines, Motul 5.1 brake fluid, 40/40 prop valve, and now I stop on the dime. It's great. So I recommend Power Slots. Prices vary...but are cheap...
Save you money get the blanks, good pads (green stuffs are great) and
get a larger master cylinder. I'm doing the 91 civic EX 4-door swap.
You don't need a booster with it like the GSR. 15/16 size.

I am kind of in the same boat, I had my stockies turned last year by Honda under warranty, and they warped again. I am torn between the Brembo OEM's and Green stuff pads, or Power slot and Green stuff pads. Apparantley Power slots are made from Brembo OEM's and machined in CA by Power slot, and are otherwise the same. Neither warrants against warpage. So, my logic is that if either warp in the future and I have to machine them or chuck them, I would feel better about chucking $40 rotors than $80 rotors. The guy (Connor) at Tirerack is pushing the Power slots very hard, but I think it is a sales pitch.

What about the Autozone $20 rotors? Why should I chose them?

I am not sure that is the cause of your problems. Did you bleed after the install?
