Default Brake Suggestions

I need new brakes for a 2000 Civic Si and I am looking at getting upgraded pads all the way around and some new rotors in the front, probably cross drilled. For the back, I think I will just have them cut/resurfaced. Input welcome, thanks.

Yup. That's what I'm running, and they handle track time well. Import RP is selling them in the sponsor section for a good price.

Metalmaster pads and Brembo blanks. You could get slotted rotors, but it's a big price jump from blanks. Despite all the hype, the only benefit to slotted rotors is that they keep the pads fresh and evactuate water better. In other words, the pads will always feel like they did brand new after a break in, and not glaze over from heat cycling. You'll begin to see a light build up of pad material on the edge of the slots. With crossdrilled I've never perceived any kind of benefit. If you have stock sized rotors, slotted and crossdrilled is a bad idea. Whatever you choose, just get a quality brand of rotors that isn't made from some dogshit alloy.

Just to cover my *** cuz it's early in the morning and I might mix them up, slots are the rotors that are like this: / / / / and crossdrilled are like this . ' . ' . '

Obviously they do something because theyre on all the motorcycles.
