Default Newbie with a few of questions

Hey wus up,

I just got my teg about 2 weeks ago. Its a 98 silver ls. All i've got done to it is get an alarm installed. I am planning on getting some wheels, coilovers, and shocks within the next week or two. I've finally decided upon some ground control coilovers and some koni yellows and for the rims i've decided on the 17 inch icon w62 in gunmetal. Well my question is, for the coilovers how do you decide on which spring rate to choose, and could some of you tell me what spring rates you are using on your setup. Also, the rims come with a 42mm offset, would that be alright? and if someone would be able to tell me how does offset affect rims. And for the rims sizes would i be getting 17x7 4x100 +42mm or 17x7 4x4.5 +42mm or the 17x7 5x100+42mm and could someone tell me the difference between all these sizes. Thanks in advance and sorry for all the questions.

As far as spring rate goes: It depends what you will be using the car for, and how you want the car to feel. You will be safe with a rate between 400 ~ 600. Most honda owners will use a stiffer spring in the rear, to try to combat understeer.

A +42 offset will fit fine. The offest of the wheel effects where it sits inside the fender. A greater offset moves the wheel closer in, a lower offset moves the wheel out farther.

4x100 is what you need. That's just the correct lug pattern. The others are for different cars.
